AADAS’ volunteers use their skills and expertise to help the association in attaining its goals and thus contribute to the development of the framework for air and space law in Africa.
Venounye is currently a doctoral candidate in Air Law at Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne after obtaining his Master’s in Air Transport Law and Management and a a post graduate degree in Air and Space Insurance at the University of Aix-Marseille. Venounye completed an internship at the Bureau of Investigation and Analysis (BEA) concerning plane accidents at Paris-Bourget airport. His research focused on the effectiveness of ICAO’s regional cooperation policy in improving the applicability of the Chicago Convention Standards and Recommended Practices. He is AADAS’ first student volunteer.
Otsetswe Keletso KOBOYANKWE
Ms. Koboyankwe is currently the Corporate Secretary and General Legal Counsel at the Civil Aviation Authority of Botswana (CAAB). She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLLB) from the University of Botswana and an LLM in Rule of Law for Development from Loyola University Chicago. She also holds a Certificate in International Air Law from the University of Geneva in association with IATA. She has undertaken the Civil Aviation Management Programme from the Singapore Aviation Academy and Aviation Leaders Programme in Policy from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Policy Singapore. Ms. Koboyankwe is currently a candidate for the Advanced Master Programme in Air and Space Law at the University of Leiden – Netherlands and a member of the Moon Village Association.
